Our red ready mix gives you that color without any extra steps. The food-grade coloring is blended through the binder before it ships, so you are not mixing dyes at the kitchen table.

The ready mix advantage

Consistency is what separates a tidy batch from a frustrating one. Because the binder, lubricant, flow agent and color are blended together before they reach you, every scoop of red ready mix behaves the same way, batch after batch.

What it's made of

The formula is short on purpose. MCC 102 (microcrystalline cellulose) is the binder and filler, and it is what gives the powder its compressibility. Magnesium stearate is the lubricant that stops tablets from sticking to your punches and dies. Silicon dioxide is the flow agent that helps the blend pour and fill evenly. The red comes from food-grade red coloring.

Getting started

Blend your own ingredient into the red ready mix, making sure it is evenly distributed, then press as usual. It works in a hand pill press or a benchtop machine. Every ingredient behaves a little differently, so press a small trial batch before committing a full run.
